What is the need of political parties?
Supposedly to represent the different views of those collective groups. For example, liberal groups are intended to show for those wanting change and freer lives, religious groups may have a party to represent “their faith”, and conservative parties attempt to maintain the ststua quo or even restore the older systems. Some parties have a specific intent in mind (the ‘Legalise Cannabis’ parties in some countries, for example) while others have a broader view. It allows people with similar and consistent aims in politics to band together and have a larger effect with the same amount of resources.
