What is the NCAA Clearinghouse? When should a student register?

0

[Back to Top] The NCAA Clearinghouse certifies students to participate in college sports. Requirements for eligibility differ between Division I, II and III level colleges. Eligibility is determined by a formula combining information from the student transcript, test scores, proof of graduation, and other academic information. All student athletes must register with the NCAA Clearinghouse after the junior year grades have been entered on the transcript. See Mrs. Himm in the counseling office for registration materials. Student athletes should check with their counselor to ensure that they are enrolled in a core curriculum. The SAT should be taken at the end of the junior year or in the early fall of the senior year.
