What is the Naval Acquisition Intern Program?
The Naval Acquisition Intern Program (NAIP) trains promising young college graduates in the field of naval acquisition. The Naval Sea Systems Command employs more than 50,000 people to engineer, design, build and maintain the U.S. Navy’s ships and combat systems, which include aircraft carriers, surface ships, and submarines. Unlike many intern programs that offer unpaid experience in exchange for the intern’s time on the job, NAIP intern positions are full-time, paid positions. This 36-month program offers travel, training and experience throughout the NAVSEA organization. During the 3-year program, you’ll work with many NAVSEA employees from various offices, and gain an understanding of how ideas and blueprints become the ships and combat systems that defend our country.
