What is the nature of the job that I will be preparing for?
As a drafter, detailer, CAD operator, or designer you will spend much of your time on a variety of tasks including sketching, CAD drawing, research, lab testing, obtaining in the field measurements, report writing, and problem solving. Although the majority of our graduates obtain employment in the mechanical field, a few acquire positions in the architectural area. Additionally, graduates obtain employment in related fields like manufacturing engineering, quality assurance, technical sales, and various management positions.
