What is the National Normative Database?
The National Normative Database, which is maintained by Walker Information, contains the summarized results from philanthropy measurement projects conducted with a variety of companies and can be used for benchmarking purposes. The database, which is continually being revised and updated, might be thought of as presenting the consolidated survey results for the nation. Looking long range, it is planned that summarized survey results for various industry categories will be available. Companies who contribute the results of their measurement projects to the database are allowed access to the National Normative Database. (Note: Only consolidated information can be viewed. Survey results for a given or individual company are never available or released). To augment the National Normative Database comparisons can also be made with the data gathered in the National Corporate Philanthropy Benchmark Study.
