What is the National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations (NALFO)?
NALFO is the umbrella council for the Latino Greek letter organization that seeks to provide better communication between Latino Greeks. The University of Central Oklahoma has one NALFO chapter. A: Prior to and during recruitment, silence is observed to allow each potential new member to decide for herself, free of outside pressures and the opinions of others, which group she wishes to join. Silence means no conversation or contact between potential new members and initiated members, new members, alumnae and/or anyone who could represent the chapter. So, if you run into a sorority member in class and she just says Hello, please remember its not because she is disinterested, but because she is politely (and correctly) following Panhellenics Silence Rule.
