His species is a rare one in the galaxy, although Yaddle, a female Jedi once on the Jedi Council, was of the same species. It is rumored that GL has stated his intentions to reveal the name of the species in Episode III. -This rumor has since been refuted by Rick McCallum in Insider #69.
