Some names that have been tossed about are “anthemists” (for those that study anthems), “anthematology”, “anthemology” (slightly less correct), and “ethnymnology” (from the ancient Greek construct for national anthems.) ^To Top^ • What are the different types of national anthems? • While studying national anthems, I have found that various “families” of anthems occur that many, if not most, of the world’s anthems fall into.
