What is the name for the constituents of Congress members?
Congress is composed of the Senate and the House of Representatives. Members of the Senate are called Senators; members of the House of Representatives are called Congresspersons (Congressman or Congresswoman). A Senator represents the people in the state where he/she was elected. A Congressperson represents the people in his/her congressional district where he/she was elected. The people represented by a member of Congress are called constituents.
