What is the Naglieri Non-verbal Ability Test (NNAT)?
The NNAT (Naglieri Nonverbal Ability Test ®) is a non-verbal assessment of general cognitive ability without reliance on language or motor skills. It measures reasoning and problem solving progressive matrices with shapes and designs that are not unique to any cultural group. N.V.U.S.D offers the NNAT to students who have been referred by their teachers or parents. (See the N.V.U.S.D A.L.P.S. Identification page on this web site for testing criteria.) Students who score 120 or higher or a Stanine score of 8 or higher on the NNAT qualify for the A.L.P.S. program .
