What is the mystery behind 25th December as the birth of Jesus?
The true day of birth of Jesus is not known. 25th December was adopted as his presumed birthday early in the history of Christianity. In those days, most people did not have their important days well documented. Indeed, birth and death records of entire populations have only been kept by law in the last 200 years or so.
