What is the municipality’s position on the development of the vacant land in particular? Will the development be subject to the Township’s building and zoning codes?
It is the responsibility of the Offeror to engage with local officials, as necessary, to discuss potential development of the vacant land and/or renovation of Building 55. Per Section 2.4.5.a (page 5) of the Lyons RFP, Offerors are responsible for conducting their own due diligence regarding whether or not the proposed development of the EUL Site can be accomplished in compliance with applicable Federal, state, and local requirements (including fire, life safety, accessibility, zoning, state and local building codes, and other local land use restrictions). For additional guidance regarding zoning approval and building regulations, please refer to Section 2.4.5.a (page 5), Section 4.2.3.9 (page 24) and Attachment C, paragraph 4 (page 36) of the RFP for the Lyons VAMC.
