What is the Motability Scheme?
Motability is a registered charity, helping disabled people to become more mobile through the provision of a car or powered wheelchair. The Motability Scheme provides everything a disabled person may need to help get them mobile, including finance, insurance and roadside recovery assistance for your car. At present, Motability provides vehicles to over 400,000 disabled people through Contract Hire and Hire Purchase Schemes. How do I qualify for the Motability Scheme? To qualify for the Scheme, you need to receive the Higher Rate Mobility Component (HRMC) of the Disability Living Allowance (DLA), or the War Pensions’ Mobility Supplement (WPMS).
