What is the MOTA program?
The Minority Outreach & Technical Assistance (MOTA) Program focuses on educating, enlightening and empowering ethnic minorities to impact cancer and tobacco health care decisions in their local jurisdictions. MOTA funds community-based, grassroots, and faith-based organizations to provide outreach services statewide for African Americans, Asian Americans, Latino/Hispanic Americans, Native Americans and Women. MOTA has been a component program of the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygienes Cigarette Restitution Fund Program (CRFP) since July 2000. Visit the MOTA website for more information on the Program and the MOTA grantees.
