What is the most severe sentence for passing counterfeit notes?
By knowingly passing counterfeit currency, is a very serious offence. It undermines the countries economy. In wartime it would be considered High Treason, punishable by a Capital Sentence, i.e. hanging or even shot. Pity he didn`t do this in the USA – where it is a Federal offence to knowingly pass counterfeit currency. Over there he would be sent to a Federal Prison for a very long time.
