This is a bit long and random, but anyway – You can generally tell what time of day an owl hunts during by the colour of its eyes. If the eyes are yellow, it will be during the day, orange means sunrise, sunset, and black eyes, or dark brown, is at night. Very weird, but I don’t think it’s as strict as that anyway.
