What is the most interesting food preparation youve ever seen in Vietnam?
For the record: There are places in Vietnam that serve dog meat. In fact, there is a very popular Hanoi restaurant specializing in dog meat which I seen personally. However, I would never consider cooking dog to be among the most interesting food preparations in Vietnam. Not only does it make many people (including myself) uncomfortable to think about, it’s also rather unspectacular compared to preparing other kind of Vietnamese food. Perhaps the best all around experience to watch Vietnamese cooking is the street restaurants that are setup at night around Ben Thanh Market. The dozen or more restaurant vendors setup shop under tents every night at 6:00 PM and go till the edge of night cooking some of the greatest Vietnamese cuisine from every corner of the country.
