What is the most important information I should know about Nasacort AQ?
Nasacort AQ, like other corticosteroids, does not have an immediate effect on nasal symptoms. Although some people may see improvement within the first day of treatment, maximum benefit may not be reached for up to 1 week. If your symptoms do not improve, or if they become worse, contact your doctor. Treatment with Nasacort AQ may lead to side effects, which include nosebleed and nasal ulcers. Fungal infection of the nose and throat may also occur with treatment with Nasacort AQ. Nasal corticosteroids are associated with impaired wound healing. People who have experienced recent nasal ulcers, nasal surgery, or nasal trauma should not use Nasacort AQ until healing has occurred. Glaucoma (high pressure in the eye) and cataracts are associated with nasal corticosteroid use. Inform your doctor if you experience a change in vision while using Nasacort AQ. You may be more prone to getting infections when using Nasacort AQ. Report any new or existing infections to your doctor immediately. You
