HOW TO USE THIS MEDICINE Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. SWALLOW WHOLE. Do not break, crush, or chew before swallowing. Take this medicine by mouth with or without food. If stomach upset occurs, take with food or milk to reduce stomach irritation. STORE THIS MEDICINE at room temperature, between 68 and 77 degrees (20 and 25 degrees C), in a tightly-closed container, away from heat, moisture, and light. KEEP THIS MEDICINE out of the reach of children and away from pets. CONTINUE TO USE THIS MEDICINE even if you feel well. Do not miss any doses. IF YOU MISS A DOSE OF THIS MEDICINE, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once. COMMON USES This medicine is a 5-aminosalicylic acid (5-ASA) used for treating and causing remission of various forms of mild to moderate ulcerative colitis (inflammation of the colon).
