When talking about elite I suspect your referring to Special Operation Forces. Air Force-Pararescue, Combat Controller, Spec Ops Weathermen. Army-SFOD-A, SFOD-D, Rangers, Ranger Recon, Paratroopers, 160th SOAR. Marines-Used to have Recon they call them them something else now, I think. Navy-Seals, SWCC Regardless of the branch of service opportunities for elite operations are all around. It all comes down to the individual’s physical and mental abilities. If you want to recue downed pilots then go AF. If you want to jump out of planes, use surgical raiding techniques, use small boat operations, and have the bulk of the military’s schools at your fingertips then go Army. If you want to conduct clandestine water operations then go Navy. If you want to use recon and distance scouting then go Marines.
