It was one of the first on the internet and is really great, but keep in mind that it was one of the first free HDRs on the internet, so it has been used over and over. Back to top • HDR files are great for Black and White conversions… (and so are RAW files) Not sure if you might want Black and White for your image? Shoot color, then you can always remove the color. But today, using 12-bit and 14-bit RAW files (or even 32-bit HDRs) you now have much more creative freedom to really tweak your B&W conversions. (Much more than just desaturating 100%) Try adjusting the red, green and blue channels while previewing the black and white image. (Side note – Adobe Photoshop Lightroom is really great for this!)
