What is the most boring part of maintaining such a site?
This is a tough question indeed. The most monotonous aspect of maintaining my site is deciding what content to keep, and what not to keep. Some content is just a real pain to update, and my time is somewhat limited due to school and various other things (for example: “The Sims”). That is the major reason various parts of the site disappeared over time. I used to run a TC rating system, reviewing the released TCs for Duke 3D. But this quickly became a great hassle to update, simply because too many TCs were coming out to rate them all. As if that weren’t enough, people would complain about my rating and I got tired of the flames. So I took that part of the site down. Another annoyance in running this site are the questions I get from newbies on various things about Build. Things like: “I can’t get my 3D mode to work – it’s all jumbled colors. What do I do about this?” Questions such as this get real old, especially when the answer appears in the FAQ. And the answers to these types of qu
