What is the most appropriate type of cage for two male roborovski hamsters?
Answer hi Jessica, I’ve never owned a roborovski hamster personally but i know each cage type has its pros and cons so it can be a hard decision. with roborovskis being such a small breed i would probably steer clear of the full wire type as you don’t want a loose bar allowing your little chaps to do a midnight flit! aquariums are good but dont allow for very good air circulation as they are so deep, i think your best bet would be a plastic gage with a wire sliding top, Ferplast do a range of “Duna” and “Mini Duna” cages, these arent too deep and are easy to access, they are durable and long lasting, i know because i have two of them!!
