What is the most appropriate time to begin cranial remolding?
Although cranial remolding orthoses are appropriate between 3 and 18 months of age, the most appropriate time to begin cranial remolding is between 4 and 7 months of age. This time frame is when the child is growing at the fastest rate and is able maintain head/neck control. Cranial remolding may be recommended following 2 months of repositioning and neck stretching.
