What is the moonlighting policy?
According to the Stony Brook University Hospital Graduate Medical Education Policies and Procedures, residents are prohibited from moonlighting unless expressly agreed to, in writing, by the program director and Graduate Medical Education Committee. Residents receiving permission to moonlight must maintain and provide evidence of work hours as outlined in the New York State Health Code 405.
