What is the monthly wage for doctor at UK?
There are many grades withing the NHS. £2,000.00 is about the wage for a Senior House Officer – the grade above HO (House Officer). Then pay rises according to promotions to Registrar, Senior Registrar etc. At the top of the tree the Consultants will be on from around £75,000.00 to £150,000.00 annually depending on their speciality – this doesn’t mean a surgeon will necessarily earn more than a dermatologist because there is a side system running alongside basic wages where, if you are ‘the best’ for various reasons, including research, publications, you get extra money for that. Many Consultants also work in private hospitals so are well paid for this extra aspect of their work.
