What is the Montgomery GI Bill Top-Up?
The Montgomery GI Bill Top-Up program is a military education benefit established to help eligible U.S. Armed Forces members pay for college classes or degree programs. The Top-Up program will pay the difference between the costs covered by the Tuition Assistance program and the total costs of your continued education. Before Top-Up was enacted in 2000, the military’s Tuition Assistance program could only cover up to 75 percent of the fees for a particular course or program. Now, you can use your military education benefits to cover the full cost of your continued education.
