What is the Montessori style referred to as the St. Nicks approach?

I have never heard of St. Nick’s Montessori, so I decided to google it. Apparently, it’s a separate training program from AMS and AMI. AMS (American Montessori Society) and AMI (Association Montessori International) are the two main training groups in the world. Both organizations provide really intense teacher training courses. There are some differences, but more similarities. The problem with St. Nick’s course is that it is something that concerns me – they offer a distance training program. I’m a supporter of distance education, but believe that with something as hands on as Montessori, distance education simply would not work well in most cases. That said, since you’re already familiar with Montessori, you know what it should look like to some degree. Visit the school a few times and observe a lot. See what you think of the place, but I wouldn’t hold any real faith in their certification program.
