What is the Monitor AF Metering Mode and how can I use it ?
The Monitor Metering mode shortens the time needed for focusing. The camera automatically adjusts the focus before the shutter button is pressed and held halfway down, letting you compose images with the focus already adjusted. When the shutter button is pressed and held halfway down and AF lock is complete, the focus is locked. Notes • Battery consumption in Monitor mode may be faster than in Single mode. • The AF mode does not work when Face Detection* is set to On or in the Advanced Sports* Shooting mode (Scene Selection).
