The Money Saver mode on the CP14, CP18 and CP24 reduces the fan speed to a lower setting when the compressor cycles off. It does not turn it off completely as in the smaller CP units. When the compressor cycles back on, the fan will resume at the previous setting. This aids in the energy savings by not having two large components cycling back on at the same time thus reducing the amperage pull.
