What is the mission of the MFAA?
The Fine Arts Academy at McCallum High School is a district-wide signature program where the arts are core. It offers a stimulating environment in which each student becomes immersed in the arts as a high school focus. Just three miles north of the University of Texas, the Fine Arts Academy has had, from its inception, a unique partnership with the University of Texas College of Fine Arts. The Fine Arts Academy prides itself in quality instruction, a nationally recognized Advanced Placement program, and significant relationships with arts organizations and professionals who provide weekly outreach to its students. Faculty and staff are committed to helping students become skillful communicators through the performing and visual arts, creative technologies, and written work.
