What is the mission of CMA? Why was it formed?
Cayuga Medical Associates was formed to meet a growing need for accessible adult primary care for Ithaca and the region. We are very fortunate that for many years we have had a number of highly skilled and experienced adult primary care physicians, who have been providing excellent health care for their patients. However, a growing population, an aging demographic of patients, and a projected national shortage of primary care physicians will begin to affect our ability to meet patient needs in the near future. Cayuga Medical Associates was organized to assure that there are a sufficient number of adult primary care physicians to meet the growing need.
