What is the mission and purpose of the Hume Home?
The Hume Home opened in 1912 as The Old People’s Home of Muskegon. It has always been an assisted living facility for senior citizens. Private rooms are available for up to 34 people. Our mission is: To provide secure, comfortable and attractive assisted living that upholds the dignity of the residents within the daily living routine in an atmosphere that encourages independence and respects the individual’s social and traditional values. In addition, we are the longest operating and lowest cost assisted living facility in Muskegon County.
