What is the mission and objectives of Chicago Oromo Youth Association?
Dargaggoo Ibrahim Bedaso: The Oromo Youth Association of Chicago is a youth wing of Oromo Community Association of Chicago supported by a network of volunteers. Our goal is to provide an affirmative and conducive environment where our youth can get together and learn from one another. Broadly speaking, OYAC seeks to promote educational activities, Oromoumma, and preserve and cultivate the seed of our heritage and culture in young generation. OYAC also encourages Oromo youth to achieve their best in academic and professional lives. To attain this, our volunteers continually encourage children of all ages to participate in our weekend tutoring sessions and sport activities to develop their mental and athletic skills in the atmosphere of teamwork and good sportsmanship in the love and lovely spirit. Our top priority is academic enhancement throughout the community. Therefore, OYAC is designed to help and encourage each and every youth to become the best that he or she can be. We will work
