What is the missing homework procedure?
If a student was not absent yet was unable to complete the assignment he/she should come in with a note from home explaining the situation. However if the assignment was not completed the student will be expected to fill in a Homework Accountability Form located in the classroom and bring it home to receive a parent’s signature. Students need to show me the form the next time I check homework in class. I will not be collecting the form. The purpose of the form is to bring it to the family’s attention. The student is still expected to complete the assignment(s). ***Please Note: I do not give credit for late work that has been reviewed in class. If a student continues to miss assignments a “Homework Letter” or progress report will be sent home with your child or within the self- addressed stamped envelope. The Homework Letter/Progress report lists the missing homework by homework number which corresponds to the HW section of my web page and requires a parent/guardian’s signature.
