What is the minimum score that I need to earn on the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)?
A minimum TOEFL score of 80 (213 on the computer-based test) and a passing grade on the Mannes English Placement Test taken at the audition are required. For all graduate theory, composition, and conducting majors, a minimum score of 100 (250 on the computer-based test) is required. TOEFL scores must be received before an audition time can be assigned. TOEFL scores must be sent directly to the college by the testing service. Mannes does not require a minimum TOEFL score. Scores will be considered in conjunction with the English Placement Test that you will take when you audition at Mannes. If your TOEFL score is 100 or more, you will be exempt from English language requirements and will not be required to take the English Placement Test.
