What is the minimum purchase amount and maximum ownership limit?

0

The minimum purchase amount is $500. The maximum amount of bonds that may be purchased for or by a Registered Owner each calendar year is $10,000 unless the holder is a not-for-profit corporation incorporated in Prince Edward Island. All purchases must be in multiples of $100 (e.g., $500, $600, $700, etc.). A not-for-profit corporation incorporated under the laws of Prince Edward Island may purchase and hold in its own name any amount of bonds, and is not limited to the $10,000 annual limit. When bonds are owned jointly, the maximum annual ownership limit is $10,000 multiplied by the number of Registered Owners (e.g., two Registered Owners may hold $20,000 in bonds, three Registered Owners may hold $30,000 in bonds, etc.). If bonds in excess of the maximum ownership limit are purchased, the transaction is not processed.
