We do not have a minimum requirement for the GMAT. The GMAT is one of many factors–-including recommendations, essays, undergraduate GPA, etc.–- that we will consider when reviewing an application. All applicants must take the GMAT; the GRE cannot be substituted in its place. For your information, the average GMAT score of this year’s first-year students is 669 (with a wide range). International students are evaluated in a pool with other applicants from the same country. For domestic students, the GMAT is a computer-adaptive test (CAT) that is available, year-round, at test centers throughout the world. To schedule a test-date, refer to their website www.gmac.com or call (800) 462-8669. Please have your GMAT score sent electronically to the University of Texas at Austin (Code: 396-44-45).
