What is the minimum average required to graduate as an Economics major from Queens College?
A C average (index of 2.0) for all economics and business courses taken at Queens College, as well as an average of 2.0 in the required courses Economics 101, 102, 205, 206, 249, and 382. For all students matriculating Fall 2004 and after, no grades in economics or business courses below C- will be accepted; this is also true for Math 131. 14.
Transfer students must take at least 18 credits of economics at Queens College. All students must have at least a combined “C” average for MATH131, ECON101, ECON102, ECON205, ECON206, ECON249, and ECON382. A combined “C” average must also be obtained in the above 7 courses plus the 4 required electives. Only courses taken at Queens College are included in these averages. All courses for the major, plus MATH131 or equivalent, must be passed with a letter grade of “C-” or higher (no P/NC option).
