What is the minimum amount of life insurance to be issued on a preneed contract?
A. A life insurance policy sold in connection with the sale of a preneed contract must, at a minimum, equal the retail amount of the preneed contract. Life insurance purchased by a trust as allowed under Ala. Act No. 2008-271 may be in an amount less than the retail amount of the preneed contract.
