Question pretty much sums it up, I’m wondering what is the minimum age to get a job in Georgia, in Atlanta. So any feedback is great, thanks. A: Hello John At 14 you can work a limited number of hours with a work permit which your parent or guardian needs to sign for at the local board of education. 15-20 hrs a week when school is in session, 40 when school is out. There are restrictions on what you can do which boil down to nothing “hazardous” including operating pretty much any machinery. At 16 you can get a full time job (no hour restriction during school weeks) and do not need a work permit. The hazardous work limits still pretty much apply though are a bit looser.
