Due to visa restrictions within Australia, a student may not apply for, or enrol on a course of training until he or she has reached his or her 18th birthday. Can I work in Australia? Whilst in Australia on a student visa, it is possible to apply to the Immigration Department for permission to conduct limited part-time work. It should be stressed however the JAA Integrated ATPL Course is a very demanding course and students are advised to avoid where possible entering into additional commitments away from the college. Bear in mind the JAA Integrated ATPL Course is a full-time 64-week course requiring attendance from Monday to Friday 08.30 to 17.00.
