What is the minimum age for renting a car on CarRentals?
Most of the companies rent the car to the people over the age of 25 if they possess a credit card, driving license and other legal documents which are required. Some companies also provide car rental to the age group of 21-24 if they meet the primary requirements but they are not allowed to rent luxury cars or sport cars and they also need to pay extra charges for it. Very few companies rent cars to the 18-20 age group. They need to pay higher charges to rent a car. This rule can be exempted for military persons. The military person can use his military ID to rent a car. In Corporate rental also the rules can be exempted for underage people.
The rates given are for 25 years and older. However, most vendors will allow you to rent if you are between the ages of 21-24 for a surcharge. There are a few locations which will permit you to rent if you are 18 years old. There may also be limits on the size vehicle you will be permitted to rent. Some locations only accept major credit cards from drivers between the ages of 21-24.
