The Minerals Program is within the state Division of Oil, Gas and Mining which is contained within the Department of Natural Resources. The Utah Mined Land Reclamation Act (Act) is found under the Utah Code Title 40, Chapter 8. The purpose of the Act is to ensure all mining operations in the state include plans for reclamation of the lands affected.
