What is the Midnight Cry?
The Midnight Cry is the cry that goes up when the Five Wise Virgins know that Jesus is coming for his bride (Matt 25:6). It is the sudden realization by the Five Wise Virgins that Jesus is about to remove the faithful Christians from the earth and take them to heaven. This is the time that the Five Foolish Virgins wake up to the return of Jesus for the faithful. The Five Wise Virgins are the Christians who are faithful to Jesus and most are looking or watching for his return. They are wide awake and beckoning for Jesus to return. The Five Foolish Virgins are asleep relative to the return of Jesus and are caught unawares by his return.
