WHAT IS THE MICROSOFT® OPEN LICENSE PROGRAM?
The Microsoft® Open License Program is a three-tiered program that lets small businesses get volume discounts on Microsoft® products. The entry tier–Open Business–allows customers to save on estimated retail prices by placing an initial order for five or more licenses for Microsoft® products. With the Open Business License Program, customers can combine any set of Microsoft® products (including Software Assurance) to qualify for the minimum purchase. After your initial order, you can buy as little as one product at a time during the remainder of your two-year agreement. The Microsoft® Open Business License Program lets you save money if your need for software is growing but you prefer to pay as you go.
The Microsoft Open License program is designed to provide a simple solution for Licensing needs of virtually any size business. The Microsoft Open License contains a license agreement with a license authorization number, which allows the customer to use any legally acquired copy of the specified software (except OEM) as a master copy to make additional copies as designated in the license agreement.
