What is the methodology used to produce the forecasts?

The forecasts in the WEO database are done by the individual country teams within the IMF and therefore the methodology can vary from country to country and series to series depending on many factors. To get more information on a specific country and series forecast, you may contact the country teams directly; you can find links to the country pages on the IMF website and on each country page you will see a contact email address on the left side.
