To value PSS for Family Law purposes, specific factors and methods have been approved by the Attorney General. These specific factors and methods recognise the unique benefit design of the PSS and are applicable from 8 March 2004. The factors and methods are contained in an instrument called Family Law (Superannuation) (Methods and Factors for Valuing Particular Superannuation Interests) Approval 2003.
