What is the memory capacity of the iCLASS credentials?

0

HID offers iCLASS credentials with either 2kbits (256Bytes) or 16kbits (2kBytes) of memory size. The 2kbits (256Bytes) memory size allows for two application areas; the 16kbits (2kBytes) memory size allows for either 2 or 16 application areas. For reference, each application area can have its own read and write key. Dependent upon the application and the required memory size for the particular application, it is possible that individual applications may use more than one application area. Most biometric templates will fit on a 16kbits (2kBytes) card; it may use multiple application areas. Only very small biometric templates will fit on a 2kbits (256Bytes) credential. See the iCLASS Memory Map for more information.
