What is the Medicinal Plants Conservation Project (MPCP)?
The Medicinal Plants Conservation Project (MPCP) is a national project that aims to eliminate the root causes of the loss in biodiversity and the threats to the conservation and sustainable use of Wild Medicinal Plants in Egypt. The project was launched in January 2003 and it is jointly undertaken by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and the Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency (EEAA).
